So, yesterday it rained.
It started with a few large drops, and then let loose on the neighborhood.
So far this summer it has barely even sprinkled here, although it has rained in other parts of Vegas.
I LOVE THE RAIN!
I picked Brenden up from his bus stop, and when we got home it started pouring so Brenden ran out into it.
Zack wasn't so sure about the rain at first. He stepped out a few inches and shrunk back into the garage when a drop would hit him. I had to explain to him that it was like a shower outside.
He promptly ran to splash in the puddles.
Ignore the hideous red curbing they just freshly painted. UGLY! But, you can see that there is a good amount of rain. This was after maybe 5 minutes of rain.
Zack stole my umbrella. Brenden was still dancing in the street in the rain.
I guess Brenden finally decided he wanted a little shelter from the rain, but wasn't ready to come inside yet.
The rain smelled so great!
Maybe we should move somewhere where it rains more often!

The rain was so great. I have really missed it this summer.
Maybe if I would have explained it to Eli like a shower he would have enjoyed it more. Here I was thinking I was going to be a cool mom and say, "Lets go play in the rain." and neither of them went for it! Boring kids!
I never thought I would say this, but I LOVE the rain! I grew up in Seattle and had more than enough to last me a lifetime, or so I thought. I never realized how much I enjoyed/missed it until I moved to Vegas.
Why is it that we live maybe a mile away and all we got was sprinkles?! We did get that great rain smell though. I LOVE that! Ever notice that anywhere else the rain just doesn't smell as good?

That is crazy all of our similarities! We were meant to be friends! I loved the rain as well! I wish we got it more often.
