When Mother Duck Said QUACK QUACK QUACK...

It would seem that our pool has become the courting grounds for a pair of ducks.
We have a male and a female that show up almost every day, at least for a few moments to swim and nap on the poolside.
Zack lovingly refers to them as "My Duckies". He gets distressed if he hasn't seen them in a day or two. Some days I am just envious. I wish I could go out and swim and nap, instead of cleaning, and working, and dealing with an adventerous 3 year old. But then again, once the ducklings come... I doubt the ducks will have time to lounge around either! LOL

We had one visit our pool so I sent Tawny into the pool area and that duck was GONE! Hasn't returned yet either!

Well, Minnie doesn't scare them! LOL She runs out barking and they slip themselves into the pool, knowing full well that Minnie won't come in to get them! LOL

Now I know where they went. They hung around our place for the longest time. The female came up missing the other day. I'm glad that they are together once again. Just tell Zafk that they are a gift from me!!

Rocky would scare them away if it was our backyard! She barks like crazy at any bird. :)

I think it is pretty cool that those ducks come and visit your pool. Does it make you feel like you live in the country? :)
