This month's challenge provides us the opportunity to spend some time with ourselves. Lelly says, "This month we will consult our 100 lists. It's quite simple, really. On the 7th of the month post an SPT about item #7 on your list. On the 14th of the month, post an SPT about #14. And so on and so on.
My #21 reads:
"I love the feeling of running"
Some people have told me that I am crazy for loving the feeling of running, but I can't help it! I don't run often. In fact, I have asthma, which has always prevented me from doing any serious running. Hinderance number 2 comes from genetic predisposition to carry around what feel like 2 sacks of potatoes on my upper torso. LOL
Thanks to Enell sports bras, I can now enjoy running.
Last spring I actually did my very first 5k. I had a blast! My friend Malissa did the Make a Wish 5k with me.
I can't say that I ran the whole thing, or that I made a great time. I did have two or three asthma attacks through the race. (and no inhaler... uh oh) I can, however, say that I finished it. I made it to the end! I accomplished something I had never tried before.
I need to get back into running again. It seems like every time I get started something happens. Earlier this year I got pnemonia really bad, and that stopped my running. Then I finally started again and we got Zack's brothers. No time for running then! Maybe I will start back up on Monday! :o)
Doesn't this just look like the neighborhood of your dreams? LOL I didn't realize until much later that my picture is marred by the view of the boarded up houses!
This is Malissa and I after we crossed the finish line. We were thrilled to pieces with our effort! (Even if our husbands didn't get there in time to take photos of us crossing the finish line... stinkers!)

Besides your rocking bod...that was the first thing I noticed in the picture...what the heck kind of ghetto were you in? It is a good thing Nancy and I ditched you all that morning and went to breakfast...I didn't know it was in ghettoville!
Good for you for doing the 5K.
Good for you for doing something so hard. I know I've said it before on many spts, but I hate running. I so wish that I loved it.
I love to run too but I never do it. You've inspired me to start.
way to go!! i will definitely have to check out those Enells.
Way to go!
I had a dream the other night that I was a runner. I woke up very confused. I think if I can dream it maybe one day it can happen!
I am so proud of you, SERIOUSLY, and now have the drive to get my booty back to the gym! Love ya girl! xo
