This year I heard of a fun 5k to do called The Color Run. I immediately called Rachael to tell her about it. I figured if we conquered Beachpalooza, we could handle a little color thrown on us! I was totally sad because I found out that the day of the race was the same day as a big event for work doing makeup. Luckily the manager didn't end up needing me (she was over budget on the event anyway) and let me have the day off and I was able to do the run! Yahoo!
Here is me being nerdy. I decided to put my "tattoos" on both cheeks like a football player, and I HAD to wear the cheesy headband they gave me. The rules for the run were that you had to wear a white shirt so you could really see the colors.
It was a really fun run, even if I couldn't breathe normal for like 2 weeks. Darn asthma and color powder don't mix!
I think I had more color on the back of me than on the front!
Rachael and I at the finish.
It was funny because the two main colors I got pelted with were yellow and purple. Both found their way down the front of my shirt, so even after showering I looked like I was a battered woman or something. I had purple and yellow marks all over my chest. It took a while to wear off.
Next year when I do this race I am wearing a dust mask!
